A few notes for those who weren't able to attend the meetings:
Our council consists of:
Madame-KissMeKate; Vice Madame-Wench Paradox; Arbiter-Nicole; Drill Sergeant-Meriweather; Captain of the Guard-Dyeabolical
As stated above, the Hostel is at Royal Exchange (just a few doors down from where Griffin was) and our new Dame is A.J. Please be aware that A.J. is going through cancer treatment and needs us to be very conscious of our own health in her presence. There is a very narrow and uneven passway to the side of the shop, please be cautious when passing through. Also be aware that cast members also use that pass so please do not block it. If you have trouble with that pass you may use the pass by the sword shop a couple shops down. Please be courteous and remember that having a hostel is a privilege not a right. Also, this is the Wenches Guild Hostel. That means Wenches only. If you need water, ice, or to muster before a walk then please make use of our space. (You may also put small items in back but at your own risk. We will not be responsible for items left unidentified and items left at the end of the season will not be stored. So please keep track of your items.) If you just want to hang out please use the benches across from the hostel. If you are in back and smoking please use the 'butt can' provided or field strip your cigarette and trash the filter. Please make sure any trash makes it into a can.
If you would like to walk and have never done so, please find one of the council members to go over the process with you (do not do this at muster time please). It would also help you if you watch a walk. I have half size index cards if you need to jot down a verse or two. Our walk time will be right after the parade. We will muster at 1:45p and then, as a group, pass through to the door by the flush toilets so that we can proceed to the nice shady area near the Dirty Duck. As usual we will be aware of surrounding activities so as not to interrupt any shows. In order to walk we must have head wear or braids, chemise, bodice, 2 skirts, and close-toed shoes. The colors and fabrics should appear period correct. I know that it is warm so if you cannot wear 2 skirts all day please ask and I will put your name on a bag with the skirt inside in a bin I am providing. That way a second skirt will be there for you. I only ask that if you decide to do this please make sure you pick up your skirt before or at the end of the season. (Again, we will not be responsible for items left unidentified.)
If anyone has any questions or comments, please let me know. I didn't cover everything here just the basics and changes so please ask if anything is unclear or not listed.
Thank you for your time. I can't wait to see you all there!!!
